We are all in this together! Whatever we do in life – our job, our families, our passion! Its undeniable – we depend on each other and that is what Iron Warrior is about...
Our passion is triathlon but only because we are fortunate enough to be able to go out and train on a daily basis and participate in our passion. As you are probably aware there are many people in this world who do not have the luxury to participate in triathlons not because they are lazy or unmotivated, but because their bodies just won’t let them be active at the moment. However these are not just people, but our aunts, sisters, wives and mothers…nearly 1 in 3 women are affected by breast cancer and we have chosen to be a part of the solution to combat this particular type of cancer.
People with breast cancer depend on others to help them fight everyday and they can depend on Iron Warrior to be a part of the battle. What we want to achieve is simply to join the fight in helping eradicating breast cancer and eventually all cancers that exist in the world. Although we are a small initiative, we are focused and dedicated in raising awareness and funds to help fight breast cancer. The Phalanx Multisport Club has joined with the Breast Cancer Foundation to form the Iron Warrior project which will dedicate each event we organize and each event our athletes race to help the fight against breast cancer.
Every Iron Warrior is committed to participating in as many events as possible to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. It motivates us on those long 35km runs or 8 hour bike rides or to do our first multisport event. We know that whatever we do to participate in events is nothing compared to what people with breast cancer go through every day. An Iron Warrior accepts that when we wake up in the morning we put our bodies through a whole world of hurt but people with breast cancer don’t have that choice. They have to fight and go through pain everyday just to stay alive and be with the one’s they love. That’s why we swim, bike and run - it’s not complex, it’s not over dramatic, and it’s as simple as that. We are motivated to battle together with others to find a cure and help those with breast cancer.
So when you see the name Iron Warrior with the pink ribbon on someone’s t-shirt or race top at an event, remember why they are racing and pushing to finish because they are racing not only for themselves but for others who need their help and support…
Join the fight against breast cancer… Welcome to Iron Warrior
